Peter Klasen from 9eme Concept

Peter Klasen the “Scratch paper”

It was on the initiative of the art critic Renaud Faroux that the members of the collective of the 9th Concept (Stephane Carricondo, Ned, Jerk 45) got in touch with the plastic artist Peter Klasen. It is for them the opportunity to link their productions with one of the historical members of Pop Art and Narrative Figuration. Invited to work in his workshop for this monumental production, the work merges different generations of artists marked by the urban world, consumer society, industrial design, advertising, graffiti … The final composition of more than three meters long detail all the techniques of Pop Art and Street Art: diversion of images, stencil, aerosol bomb, sticker, collage, use of logotypes … in order to give to see a new skin of the world marked by the philosophy of the collective d ‘Urba-Ethnism’ mixed with Klasen’s ‘meta-language’ for whom ‘the machine is also a body’.
