Carla Accardi

Carla Accardi (Oct 9, 1924 – Feb 23, 2014) was an Italian painter who contributed significantly to the acceptance of abstract art in Italy.

He was the cousin of the writer Evi Zamperini Pucci and Elda Pucci. After graduating from Liceo Ximenes in Trapani, he moved to Palermo for studies at the Academy of Fine Arts, completed in 1947 From 1946 he was in Rome where he attended the Osteria Fratelli Menghi, a famous meeting point for painters, directors, screenwriters, writers and poets between the 1940s and 1970s.
