Tarek Benaoum

Tarek Benaoum from Museum of Street Art, Paris, France

Tarek explores an anti-conformist and innovative “semantic jamming”. Indeed, his art emphasizes the dilution of time by a technique of embedding letters and words, superimpositions, vertical horizontal stretches: this wave wave. In this way, its know-how transposes and transcends the codes of calligraphy revisited, inscribed and renewed. His postulate: to use scriptures, calligraphy and typography as a decorative medium in its own right. Otherwise, artistically it allows him to push the boundaries of an academic vision.

He recently put his pen at the service of trendy places such as the Mama Shelter (Paris, Marseille, Istanbul, Lyon) Hotel designed by the family TRIGANO and Phillipe STARCK. The SLS hotel in Miami (design by STARCK). Les Folies Douces (Val d’Isère, Val Thorens, Méribel), new concept of mountain chalets.
