Concept: Prayer for peace
The Peace Museum, a traditional Japanese painting named “Peace Prayer”, will display about 50 items selected from over 300 paintings presided over by Hirayama Ikuo. Life work is the “silk road” series on diffusion of Buddhism through Asia
In this way, we will explore Ikuo Hiyama’s insight into the world and explore the origin of Japanese culture
In order to explore the ideal way to express Japanese paintings, we will exhibit these works under soft lighting and maximize the deep appeal

Concept: Bronze poetry
This section of the museum called “Bronze poetry” is devoted to sculpture
Here are exhibits based on about 40 sculptures and sketch themes, selected from over 100 collections of world-famous Japanese sculptor Tadao Sato. From his beginning to his present work, as he has been doing over the years and years, he expresses “human beauty”
His work depicting mainly women and children is a warm gaze that he gives to human subjects on his subject
Enjoy witnessing the masterpiece of Tadashi Sato’s masterpiece

Concept: Shuhuri
This section of the museum consists of the concept of Shurley (an exhibition room and a tea room placed in a water garden). Separation)
This wing of the museum is truly unique. Because the artists themselves not only exhibited works but also tea rooms
It is exhibited here since 2000, mainly the 15th instruments pottery works by Yoshihomon gate
There is a roasted black tea bowl, black tea bowl, an unleavened tea bottle, a baking water jar, etc., and you can observe the evolution of artist’s work
Immersed in such a worldwide underwater space, I will be fascinated by the present fine art of Kikisatemon

Main collections
Hirayama Ikuo’s work “The Prayer of Peace Sarajevo Battle” (1996), “Morning of Towers”, “Evening of Towers”, “Moon of Lou Lan” (1991)

Bell Bell (National Treasure) – There is the inscription of Cheonan 2 (858) in the early Heian period, according to the inscription it was originally in the Hieizan west tower. A silhouette of the entire bell is linear, and a style with no roundness is hardly seen in other bells in Japan. In 1953 (1953), when designated as a national treasure, it was owned by Ozumi Temple in Kyoto City, but it was unknown for a while and now it is owned by the Sagawa Art Museum.

Tea room
The hotel’s tea room consists of a booth to be submerged and a hall floating in the water. The height of the floor of the hall is considered to keep the same level as possible with the water surface of the water garden. “Sitting at the same height as the water surface, people are at the same level as nature, we must live with our eyes” Such thoughts are put in it.

entrance
Go through the corridor from the entrance of the Sagawa Art Museum and go down the stairs to be invited under the water of the water garden.

Water land
Proceeding from the donation to the water exposed ground, it is a space surrounded by the cylindrical concrete wall, shallow water is stretched also at the feet, and it is a taste to wait for the seat entering while seeing the round cut heaven. The stones used for the stepping stones are still alive by using the arrows inserted in Zimbabwe in Africa and breaking them apart.

Pandu
Of the two tea rooms, a booth of 3 tatami mats “Boardaman” is under the water garden. Ceiling using soot bamboo of dismantled old private house, pillar column using old material of Bali, wall inside the tea room which stretched Echizen Washi, concrete wall of framework …… The setting utilizing each material is unusual It is a closed space. External light taken from the four skylights on the slit and ceiling of the concrete wall reflects the shadow of fantastic light and aims to produce the light in the booth.

Elevation
Contrary to the booth, the ground hall “elevation elevation” (between 8 tatami + sheath) is an open space spreading the water garden planted with Yoshi and Himegama in front of the eyes. The glass doors that make up the walls are designed to be wide open so that you can feel the wind through the water as it is.
